Is the rock suitable?
How did the scientists find out how well the rock would store gas? They must have done some investigations - maybe you've done some yourself! If you had two different samples of rock, could you carry out a fair test?
The method
You have two samples of rock, A and B, and want to find out which will hold the most liquid.
Which of these methods would be best?
Pour water over each rock and see which soaks up the most
Stand both samples in water and see which has soaked up the most
Dip each rock sample in water for a few seconds and see which soaks up the most
loading content
